TAHANAN LAUNCHES LONG AWAITED SEQUELS TO LOLA BASYANG AND FILIPINO RIDDLES

 

Bumalik tayo sa ating kultura na ang mga bata ay natututo at naaayos ang paguugali dahil sa mga Kwento ni Lola Basyang  ( Volume 2) at Bugtong Bugtong (Vol 2) na nagsisimbulo sa kani-kanilang mga lolo at lola, ama at ina . Itoy mga lumang pamamaraan upang maturuan ang mga bata lalo ng mga mabubuting asal at kung paano makitungo sa mas nakatatanda sa kanila. Sa aking pananaw kailangan na tayo ay maalarma sapagkat ang mga bata ay hindi na natututong makipag laro sa kanilang mga kapwa bata bagkus , sila ay nakaharap lamang sa  mga computer at wlang panahon sa pisikal na laro at pakikipag talakayan upang malaman nila ang kanilang mga layunin at obligasyon sa kani-kanilang pamilya o bilang isang mamamayang Pilipino.

Riddle enthusiasts and lovers of Lola Basyang stories are in for a double treat when Tahanan Books launches its sequels to two popular Filipino classics last Tuesday February 19th , from 5pm to 7pm, at the FIGARO Cafe, Greenbelt 3, Makati City and the event is open to the public.IMG_8476

Mga Kuwento ni Lola Basyang (volume 2) penned by Severino Reyes (1861-1942, author of the timeless “Tales of Lola Basyang” loved by generations of readers. Creator Daniel Palma Tayona’s rich and warm palette floods the book with happy sunshine. The book is an endearing salute to the late great children’s book author Rene O. Villanueva, who wrote and collected the original Bugtong, Bugtong edition (Tahanan Books 1998). Follow Oskar’s canine capers as he unlocks the secret’s of the Filipino language.
