Last Sunday, KFC , PBA , JRNBA, and WNBA  Introduces the new KFC Texas Barbecue and Korean Bibimbap Food Trip Rice Bowls that are now available at your favorite KFC store for a limited time only!

Ready to go on another food trip around the world with the country’s trusted chicken authority? From the southern comfort of Texas to the vibrant streets of Korea comes the newest addition to the KFC Food Trip series – the Texas Barbecue and Korean Bibimbap Rice Bowls!

If you like your chicken smoky and sweet, then the KFC Texas Barbecue Rice Bowl is for you! KFC Fun Shots glazed in savory barbecue sauce, this Texas-inspired favorite comes with spiced rice and sweet corn that are prefect complements to any southern dish. But if you prefer something more spicy and savory, then you should try the KFC Korean Bibimbap Rice Bowl! It is a perfect mix of KFC Hot Shots, flavorful kimchi rice, fresh cabbage and carrots with egg in special Korean sauce.

“The introduction of these eastern and western flavors really gives a unique twist to our chicken offerings,” said KFC marketing director Errol Magdato. “Just last year, we introduced the Spanish Salpicao and Japanese Teriyaki Rice Bowls, which all quickly became household names. And now, we have these delicious flavors from Korea and Texas.”

During the KFC East Meets West Fully Loaded Shootout held recently at the KFC SM Mall of Asia branch, the new KFC Food Trip Rice Bowls were launched via dance routines that featured cheerleaders dressed as Texas cowgirls and Korean pop stars.

Like last year, the KFC East Meets West Fully Loaded Shootout treated the fans to a unique basketball experience as they got the chance to meet and play with their basketball idols from the PBA and the NBA.

Team East/Team KFC was captained by Rain or Shine Elasto Painters forward Gabe Norwood while Team West/Team NBA was headed by Philadelphia 76ers center/power forward Nerlens Noel who was in Manila for the Jr. NBA Training Camp.

Fans competed in a 3-on-3 Basketball Shootout while Norwood and Noel both competed in the Captain’s Shootout. Team [INSERT WINNING TEAM] emerged victorious after the exhibition games. Acer Philippines also gave away special prizes to the winning teams.

Which team were you rooting for during the KFC East Meets West Fully Loaded Shootout? Gabe Norwood’s Team East or Nerlens Noel’s Team West? Give us a shout out at @KFCPhilippines on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter using the hashtag #KFCEastMeetsWest.

The KFC Texas Barbecue and KFC Korean Bibimbap Rice Bowls are available for a limited time only so head on up to your favorite KFC branch or call KFC delivery at 887-8888 now.
