The world has witnessed a sudden resurgence in the passion for archery. What was once known for combats and ancient war fighting’s has evolved into not only a form of recreation but also a professional sport. And it has been further popularized with the advent of films like The Hunger Games, Bravo and The Avengers. Who hasn’t daydreamed about drawing bows and hitting targets straight on with the precision of Katniss or the swag of Hawkeye?


 
Last Saturday, Gandiva Archery Range who has transferred from MOA to One eCom Center at Ortigas Pasig City  held a Bloggers Night, as a preparation for one of the most talk about pageant last year the Miss Teen Earth, and Little Miss Earth Philippines.
Most of the Media and On Line bloggers have tried Archerytrial and was amazed and wanting to do it more . We enjoy hitting sqme targets and just doing this art in a much serious way

The First set of players had a multi darts and balloon targets and  the highest score of 170 was being achieved by Mr. Mario Dungo  who got the Major Prize.


. Having some major hits from the target will get you more enticed with this game. It was a great and wonderful experience a person may have .I happened to hit 4 out of 5 shots that I have gained , and got the major prize for the 2nd game.Many thanks to Mr. IC Mendoza l Head PR. and a Representative of Captured Dream Media Relation .

Last week Cafe France launch their new Gourmet Sandwich at their branch at Jupiter St. Makati City, It was a very delighting experience seeing every sandwich being prepared as we order the gourmet that we wanted to taste and experience.
I eat the Hickory Chicken and it was almost same as a Christmas chicken Ham , I really do enjoy finishing it. The place was filled with guest VIP’s and some old celebrities like Yayo Aguila .ect.

National University Pep Squad donates to SM Cares for Yolanda Survivors

Yesterday, September 18, 2014 – I was one of the Media / Bloggers who are invited to witness and cover the National University (NU) Pep Squad held a thanksgiving  celebration held at NU Auditorium University Belt Manila for bagging the championship at the 77^th UAAP Cheerdance Competition. The group has presented some of their winning moves and stunts and was perfectly been executed without.

The NU gymnasium was filled with students and professors, together with SM executives to personally meet the champions. Applause and cheers welcomed NU Pep Squad during the repeat performance of their winning performance. Students and Faculties celebrates and gives full support for their heroes for the last UAAP Cheerdance  competition and this gives them a chance to be known as one of the most competitive schools in the Metro.


The overwhelming support from their alma mater , a heart that is willing to give and a mentor that shows example and dedication  led  NU Pep Squad in donating a portion of their prize winnings to the Yolanda survivors through SM Cares Yolanda Housing Project. This is their way of giving back to the community and helping those who are in need.
SM Cares is committed to build 1,000 houses to help Yolanda survivors. These houses are designed to be disaster-resilient with concrete ceilings and plenty of ventilation.

LG Electronics brings a PH basketball first—‘Asian Basketball Showdown’

Korea’s season champion LG Sakers to battle eight-time PBA champion Barangay Ginebra

Last  September 4, 2014, LG Electronic very timely ,after we have seen some FIBA matches announced and  launched the showdown that would be going to happen with both Asian counterparts who have been loving the sports since it has been telecast and was being  reestablished in every culture of its land. This coming September 9, an epic basketball rivalry will take place as global technology leader LG Electronics brings a first in Philippine basketball—the ‘Asian Basketball Showdown.’

Bringing together two basketball-loving countries who are long-time archrivals in the international basketball arena, crowd-favorites and multiple titleholders—Korea’s Changwon LG Sakers and Philippines’ very own Barangay Ginebra San Miguel—will clash on the court on September 9, 2014 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Mr. Sung Woo Nam, LG Electronics Philippines managing director, said, “As a brand, LG Electronics is a global leader and technology innovator in consumer electronics, mobile communications and home appliances. The Asian Basketball Showdown serves as a historic milestone, as this is our first time to embark in a major sporting event.”
He continued, “Our goal is to engage our Filipino customers and enable them to experience first-hand the excitement of Koreans and Filipinos facing off on court. As both countries are represented in this year’s FIBA World Cup in Spain, we’d like to take this opportunity to bring a piece of the action to the Philippines, as a basketball-loving country.”

Korea’s LG Sakers leads the attendance rankings in eight out of 10 seasons of the Korean Basketball League (KBL), while the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel is one of the most-loved teams in Philippine basketball and currently holds eight Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) titles.
Korean basketball legend Shin Dong Pa is set to grace the event, showing his undying support and love for the sport. Hailed as one of Asia’s greatest basketball players, Shin Dong Pa would score an average of 30 to 40 plus points per game in the Asian Championships to rally his team to victory.

 

Basketball for everyone

Aside from letting its Filipino consumers witness a first of its kind basketball experience, LG Electronics is also extending the joys of the playing the sport to the kids of Manila Boys’ Town, a charitable residential institution for the underprivileged, abandoned, neglected and voluntarily surrendered children, teenagers and senior citizens from Manila.

On top of the newly-donated LG home entertainment products and kitchen appliances which the orphanage can use for their daily activities, LG refurbished a basketball court within the Boys’ Town compound as well where the kids can freely play the sport and enjoy the game.
Romeo Velasqeuz, a 15-year-old boy from Boys’ Town, expressed his gratitude to the company: “Maraming salamat, LG. Excited na kaming gamitin itong bagong court at maglaro ng basketball. Paborito kasi naming siyang gawin. (Thank you, LG. We’re excited to use this court and play basketball. It is one of our favorite thigs to do.)”
Manila Boys’ Town division chief Jean Ramos also acknowledged the significance of sports to children’s growth. Ramos said in the vernacular: “Playing sports like basketball helps boost the kids’ morale. Aside from making them physically fit, they are also able to make friends and develop meaningful relationships along the way.”
Ramos furthered, “Support from private institutions like LG Electronics greatly helps in sustaining our operations. On behalf of Manila Boys’ Town, we would like to thank LG Electronics for your generous donations and helping us promote sports among the kids.”
Kids from the orphanage were also able to partake in a basketball clinic facilitated by no less than the players and coaches from the Changwon LG Sakers.

When claiming, registrants just have to present the e-ticket and one valid ID, and a sales invoice or official receipt if registered as an LG customer for patron tickets.
