The 13th Philippine Grand Barista Cup 2019, headed by Allegro Beverage Corporation, became a huge success as baristas and coffee connoisseurs from different parts of the country gather last September 13 to witness a one of a kind coffee making competition.
The event was kicked off with a Milk Lab Challenge, joined by the 6 barista finalists. In this activity, they created 3 different drinks for the judges using Milk Lab. The winner showcased his exceptional creativity and skills, bagging the 3,000 peso grand prize.
Apart from industry experts, the event was also graced by local and international coffee champions who also served as judges — Mr. Marco Poidamani, Mr. Fabian Fredriksson, Mr. Tristan Destura and Mr. Fernando Menendez, Mr. Sherwin Balasan and Mr. Ernie Mesina.
During the competition, the finalists were asked to prepared 3 beverages — espresso, cappuccino and their own concocted drink.
After the exceptional showcase of skills, the judges chose the following coffee makers:

The country’s most anticipated and longest barista competition by the “most preferred coffee solutions” in the country – Allegro Beverage Corporation ended with an awarding ceremony and a fun photo opportunity.
