SM by the BAY, in partnership with SM Cares, the corporate social responsibility arm of SM Prime Holdings, Inc., will hold its quarterly Cleanup Drive on May 18, 2019, 6AM at the Central Park of SM by the BAY, Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay City.
This aims to mobilize and educate the public on the importance of protecting waterways such as beaches, rivers, and the bay, to keep them free from litter and commercial trash. SM by the BAY’s regular cleanup drives support the Manila Bay Rehabilitation Program, and has been in place since 2015. This initiative forms part of SM’s commitment to the government, which will be followed by a cleanup of the portion of ParaƱaque waterways.
“Coastal areas are important to everyone, especially for the marine ecosystem. As a member of the community, we want to do our share to achieve its healthy state. With this event, we are grateful to work with the local government and the community in caring for our bay and for the environment,” said Perkin So, SM Mall of Asia Senior Asst. Vice President for Operations.
