It was a day of hope and for every health buffs that is present in this running event it was really one of the most fulfilling run I have ever join and spend with , knowing that it will went the way to the Leukemia victims and for the students of the Deaf and mute in Pasay City. That is why I would want to do it with the Marriott team as one of the Social Media runner with Chelle Campos leaded by Dir. of Mktg Ms. Michelle Garcia and Associate Ms. Hope Velasco.
The family that runs together,
finishes well together! Over 280 associates of Marriott Manila joined the
Asia-Pacific wide wellness campaign called “Run To Give” last September 10.
This is line with their brand’s global TakeCare program that promotes their
core value of putting people first, starting from the employees that extends to
the community.
All proceeds from the registration fee
directly went to their partner foundations: Epcalm Adult Leukemia Ministry,
funding their projects of reaching out to cancer patients, and Philippine
School for the Deaf, sustaining their educational programs. More fitness
activities are lined up like a Zumba class to give more opportunity for their
employees to enjoy and give. This is also in partnership with Resorts World
Manila’s Run With Me event, as the hotel’s way of showing to support and making
a bigger impact on this charity run.
Marriott associates also tagged their
families along to race through a 5km route around McKinley Hill. Leading the
“white team” was their General Manager Bruce Winton with his family. “This
seems to above and beyond of our work, but that’s what world-class hospitality
is for us – serving the world in and out of the corners of our hotel. I am
proud of my enthuasiatic team,” adds Winton.
