Presscon of Earthday Jam 2014
The pop set follows suit with catchy hits from Moonstar ’88 and GraceNote. The rock scene then headlines major ‘icons”— Slapshock, ChicoSci, Sandwich, Kjwan and Mayonnaise with “Earthday jam” veterans artist-producer-envi awardee herself, Lou Bonnevie and acoustic guru Noel Cabangon. Earthday jam can’t be complete without the reggae rastas from Brownman Revival. The much awaitedshowdown of rap and hip hop will be manifested from GLOC 9 and Abra. Also featured is newbie gothic rock group Philia but an array of surprise appearance from celebrity artist who will collaborate with some of the participating bands. Also at hand are speakers from environmental NGO organizations and volunteers from the civic society
You’re especially invited to drop by early and check out the recyclables’ Fair adjacent to the performance area. It’s easy to say “Save the Earth.” It’s another to actually do that, and that’s what this hot party’s all about! At the jam, your support by enlisting in any of the DENR’s activities and those of the other NGOs is just one of the causes for celebration. Better still, to bring out a placard to shout out your environmental sentiments. Make some noise and bring some good cheer. Party at the BGC , if you love Mother Earth as much as you should!
“The (EarthDay Jam) campaign is a work in progress because people need to know hard that Global warming is a serious problem. It is fast depleting the planet’s natural resources, and it is only a matter of time before it start to affect all of us,” said Bonnevie.
