AXIS TIME OUT OF TIME: An Artistic Expression of Substance and Style

 

This is one brand that have not stopped to brings in a fashion on watches, Since it’s Japan technologies it can be compared with any known branded watches that have made a name since the start.
Axis is a watch brand that believes in making your timepiece a harmonious part of who you are. Axis allows you to transcend trends and celebrate your own style. The watches are unique and varied in form and design. Individually, Axis watches are almost intricate pieces of art.

This brand would like to pioneer in giving back to the consumers by helping the Children of the Children’s Hour by giving a chance to this Artist to pursue their career  specially here in the Philippines .Specifically for  those who has this kind of talents making use of their passion to create something that would make the product more that just a material or accessories ,but extending its arm for the sake of the needy and helping the  youth to pursue their dreams for the coming generation. 
It is fitting then that Axis launched an art exhibit entitled “Time Out of Time” on Nov 12, 2014 at SM Mall of Asia. The exhibit featured the works of artists Ram Mallari, Buds Convocar and Salvador Ching. The pieces are a collection of mixed media works that incorporated Axis watches. The Axis art works will be sold through a bidding process and the proceeds will be donated to Children’s Hour.
A quick look at the participating artists will show that they are well-recognized in the art scene and seasoned talents.

Ram Mallari turns discards into works of art. His mixed media assemblages have garnered attention and praise. His 2012 exhibit “METAL REDEMPTION” in Congress was a huge success and his story was chosen by Thompson Reuters to be featured in local and international media networks such as Yahoo News, Washington Post, NBC News TV in New York and BBC News Channel.
Before pursuing a full time career in painting, Buds Convocar spent his early years in the academe handling a wide array of art subjects such as design, illustration, typography, painting and cartooning. He has received numerous awards in various art competitions such as 10 Outstanding Artists of the Philippines in 1994. He has received honorable mentions in the Philippine Art Awards in 1994, 1995, 1996 and 2001.

Salvador “Buddy” J. Ching is a full-time, multi-awarded Painter, Installation and Performance Artist. He is one of the five Philippine representatives to the Third ASEAN Youth Painting Workshop & Exhibition in Indonesia. He was part of the Asian Biennale Art Exhibition in Cuba, Bangladesh, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Taiwan, Thailand and USA. He has received numerous awards and citations in major art competitions in the country and 9 one-man shows to date.

Through art and a philanthropic endeavor, Axis truly goes beyond just being a timepiece. The “Time Out of Time” art exhibit highlights the brand’s belief in self-expression and meaningful style.
The artworks may be seen at the Axis pop-up store on the ground floor of SM Mall of Asia, near National Bookstore. Axis watches are available in Watch Republic Shops and leading department stores nationwide.

SEVENFRIDAY FLASH PARTY

 
Last February 7, a Friday, Sevenfriday had their first official flash party launch, establishing the brand’s presence and soon-to-be prominence in the Philippine fashion scene. Thanks to the efforts of the dynamic Sevenfriday Manila group, they treated Manila’s hip clique to a fun flash party at the Black Market on Sabio St. Chino Roces, Makati City. Also present in this happening event was Sevenfriday founder Dan Niederer himself, who flew in all the way from Switzerland to grace the occasion, as well as renowned UK-based watch blogger Anish Bhatt (@WatchAnish).

Ms. Ornussa Cadness—Being an awesome epitome of chic and edgy, this DJ-model has made her own unique brand of gorgeousness with a remarkable edge. Moonlighting as a deejay with Zombettes at night and still ruling the runway during the day, she strikes the Sevenfriday balance of stylish and hip.

Talent and technical skill, those are what make one own the game. For athlete Jeron Teng, winning was about a thorough mastery of his craft. Sevenfriday is quite similar. Technical perfection makes it a strong player in the watch market. And just like Jeron, the game is definitely in the bag.

Up next is Chef Laudico—We know him well for some of our favorite foodie joints. He hit the culinary scene even before culinary even started trending. Today, he continues to titillate taste buds of Filipinos in the metro. In Sevenfriday fashion, he represents success in doing what you’re ultimately passionate about.

Following on the list is Ms. Laureen Uy—This youthful and popular digital maven represents a leadership in a world that moves at hyper pace. With her blog Break My Style, her work becomes her passion and it seems that every day for her—whether through her OOTDs or posts—has the brightness, drive, and lightness of Fridays. She’s Sevenfriday material, indeed. Next we have Mr. Anton Del Rosario—Pinoy at heart but ultimately global in stance, this good-looking Azkal won hearts when football became all the rage. Now, he’s become a household name that proves that the Pinoy is ready for the big league. Sevenfriday will definitely take Pinoys up a notch.  

A TV constant with her angelic face but a spicy character, Ms. Rhian Ramos is anything but your ordinary run-of-the-mill actress. Like Sevenfriday, she stands out because she’s candidly casual but also sophisticatedly beautiful at the same time. Not a lot of people can pull off that duality like a Sevenfriday, but Rhian definitely does it with style.

Last but definitely not the least is Senator Chiz Escudero. A brilliant statesman, he can make nation-building seem hip and ultimately cooler. The night grew to a hip bash as Ornussa Cadness and Sanya Smith took to the turntables with the edgy sound of Zombettes. THE SEVENFRIDAY COLLECTION  

The Sevenfriday P1, cool and slightly restrained in coloring, symbolizes the present industrial aesthetics or the “Industrial Essence.” The colors silver, black, and rhodium are mainly used.

The Sevenfriday P2, warm with a strong coloring of copper, reminds us strongly of the beginning of our modern era, and symbolizes the “Industrial Revolution”. Various shades of gray, in combination with the various finishing touches, are testament to this.

The Sevenfriday P3 is inspired by the no-nonsense attitude of “cafe racer” motorcycles, and symbolizes “Industrial Engines”. The striking signal-red highlights provide visual contrast, while the animation ring recalls a motorcycle’s distinct profile.
